Style Stories: 5 Ways to Style Your Fabled Work Wardrobe
When our founder Dr. Olga Lemberg envisioned Fabled, she was dreaming of medical workwear that matched the level of care and craft that healthcare providers bring to their profession. Fabled empowers your very best self, aligning the outside with the inside. A big part of that is cultivating and celebrating your personal style.
With a solid foundation of function, style and versatility, our designs transition seamlessly between multiple clinical settings into off-duty daywear. As the world opens up and we collectively reawaken, we thought we’d share our favorite ways of styling Fabled workwear for spring:
Bold lip + bomber jacket
Heading downtown for happy hour after work? Instantly elevate your look by throwing on a bomber jacket over your stylish scrubs and swiping on a bold lip — we love a red or berry matte lip. The variety of textures — the tailored silhouettes of Fabled scrubs with the lived-in feel of the bomber — creates layers that nail that casual-cool pulled-together look. Cap it off with a sleek loafer, and you’ll be all set for a chic happy hour.
Long duster + heeled clogs
We love this combo for an elevated daytime look, whether it’s a coffee run with coworkers during lunch or treating yourself to a shopping trip after a long day at work. Pack a dramatic duster and a pair of modern heeled clogs — we love a mule style. Functional and chic, heeled clogs came roaring back on the scene some years ago and are (thankfully) here to stay. We’re Bryr Studio devotees — the brand is woman-founded and run, and their clogs are handmade in San Francisco. Pair your statement shoe with the tapered leg of our Harley Pant to show them off.
Tucked-in Fabled top + paperbag waist pant + chic sneaks
If it’s casual Friday at work, go with the lived-in feel of a tucked top and paperbag waist pant. Tuck your favorite hue of the Fabled Maverick top into your favorite paperbag waist or high waist jean — we love this Aritzia cropped pant, especially now that it's getting warmer. To finish the look, slip into a chic sneaker — here are our faves:
- We’re fully on the Axel Arigato train — especially the Clean 90 collection. This Swedish brand’s sneaker takes a classic style and elevates it with the perfect amount of panache.
- Koio's low-top sneakers will always have a place in our hearts. It’s one of our favorite go-tos for a polished yet minimalist sneaker — so simple to style up or down.
- Converse’s collab with Commes de Garcons is cheeky and fresh, adding a bright spot of personality.
Oversize sweater + Birkenstocks
After a long day in the clinic, nothing feels better than throwing on a cozy oversize sweater over tailored scrubs and slipping into a comfy pair of Birkenstocks for the drive home. Our slim-fit tapered Harley pant looks incredible with a chunky sandal. This is also a perfect combo to roll right into a lunch out, stroll through the farmer’s market, or walk with a good friend. For oversize sweaters, Alex Mill makes elevated basics that we love, and you can’t go wrong at Anthropologie for comfy and cozy oversize sweaters. When it comes to sandals, we love the traditional Birkenstock Arizona style — the white pair keeps it fresh and summery.
Army jacket + structured bag
We’ve had our eye on Everlane’s Fatigue jacket for some time now — as well as this versatile Madewell option. Pairing lightweight surplus-style jackets with a solid, structured bag creates a modern look that we love — especially with the style of our Harley top. There really are endless options for structured bags, but some of our favorites include Cuyana’s Mini Double Loop Bag (the Rust color is speaking to us) and Everlane’s Italian Leather Sling bag.
